Repealing the Eighth Amendment will allow abortion up to “viability” on vague health grounds, including mental health. This would allow abortion up to 24 weeks or 6 months.

In England, 97% of all abortions are carried out under these grounds and 90% of babies with Downs Syndrome are aborted.

Incredibly, the proposals also allow abortion right up to birth in the case of “fatal foetal abnormalities”, for the full nine months of pregnancy.
